Well, I thought I might as well post a win. Miko had some blunders, which, thankfully, I took full advantage of.

[Result “1-0”]
[ECO “C10”]

1. e4 d5
2. Nc3 {I decline to exchange pawns releasing his Queen.} Nc6 {Surprisingly Miko does as well.}
3. d4 e6 {I’ve got protection from the Queen, so why not stake my claim to the center.}
4. Nf3 Nf6
5. Bb5 {Preparing to Castle and forcing him to play a6.} a6
6. Ba4 Bd7 {I believe Miko will move his Knight to a7 or a5, but my Knight on c3 has the situation under control.}
7. e5 Be7 {So it begins.}
8. O-O Ne4
9. Ne2 {I’m not too proud to retreat.} b5
10. Bb3 {Or again.} Nb4
11. c3 {Forcing Miko to retreat.} Nc6
12. Ng3 {Pressuring the Knight on e4.} h6
13. Qe1 {More pressure.} a5 {Oh, Miko is after my Bishop on b3.}
14. a4 Bc8 {The white Bishop begins its long journey in support.}
15. Nxe4 dxe4
16. Qxe4 {Knights exchange and I like where my Queen sits.} Bb7
17. axb5 {Forcing the issue.} a4
18. Bd1 {Another retreat.} Qc8??
19. bxc6 {I’ll exchange a Pawn for a Knight.} Ba6 {Three moves to get to a6 and this is all the Bishop will do for the rest of the game. Also, Miko leaves my Pawn in control of b7 and d7.}
20. Be2 {Threatening another exchange.} Bg5 {But Miko has other ideas.}
21. Bxg5 {This I will take.} hxg5
22. Nxg5 {I exchange Bishops, get a Pawn, and attack f7.} Rh5??
23. Bxh5 {I’ll take the Rook and threaten f7 again.} g6 {No real threat as my Queen is now a few moves from checkmate.}
24. Qf4 Qb8 ??
(24… f6 25. Qxf6 gxh5 26. Qf7+ Kd8 27. Qf8#)
25. Qxf7+ 1-0
